Environment & Sustainability

Solutions that measure a city's environmental status in real time and tie sustainability goals to data, with air-quality monitoring, smart waste management and environmental sensors for temperature, humidity, pressure and fog.

Overview

Our Environment & Sustainability solution makes a city's environmental health visible and measurable. It monitors environmental indicators in real time — from air quality to waste-collection efficiency — enabling municipalities to make data-driven, transparent decisions.

Sensors placed at different points across the city continuously measure values such as particulate matter, temperature, humidity, pressure and fog. This data is mapped by district; pollution hotspots, sudden changes and seasonal trends emerge clearly.

With smart waste management, container fill levels are monitored; collection vehicles are dispatched only when needed and along the most efficient route. This both saves fuel and labor and reduces environmental problems caused by overflowing containers.

Scope

We monitor the city's environmental status end to end:

  • Air-quality monitoring: measuring particulate matter and pollutant gases, with district-level mapping.
  • Environmental sensors: monitoring temperature, humidity, pressure and fog.
  • Smart waste management: container fill-level sensors and efficient collection routing.
  • Noise and micro-climate monitoring (on request).
  • Regional trend analysis and early warning.
  • Sustainability dashboards and reporting.

Approach

We turn environmental data into a decision-support tool:

  • Positioning sensors at critical points and connecting them to the IoT network.
  • Continuous, standardized collection of environmental data.
  • Visualizing the data on a map and analyzing trends.
  • Generating automatic alerts when thresholds are exceeded.
  • Optimizing waste-collection routes based on fill-level data.

Deliverables

It results in transparent, measurable environmental management:

  • A real-time map of air quality and environmental data.
  • Efficient, fill-level-based waste collection and reduced fuel costs.
  • Early warnings for threshold breaches and anomalies.
  • Regional environmental trend reports.
  • Dashboards that support sustainability goals.

FAQ

Environment & Sustainability — FAQ

What values does air-quality monitoring measure?
Our sensors can measure particulate matter and common pollutant gases, as well as environmental values such as temperature, humidity and pressure. The data is mapped by district, so you can clearly see where pollution concentrates and how it changes by time of day and season.
How does smart waste management save money?
Fill-level sensors placed in containers show in real time which container needs collecting and when. Instead of a fixed schedule, collection vehicles are dispatched only when needed and along the most efficient route. This saves fuel and labor while also reducing environmental problems caused by overflowing containers.
What are fog and micro-climate sensors used for?
Micro-climate data such as temperature, humidity, pressure and fog is valuable in many areas, from transportation safety to agricultural planning. For example, monitoring fog density helps with early warning and precautions on critical roads.
